FYI: I have a full face mask that works just as well, but when I exhale, 1.) part of the exhaled breath stays inside the mask. That means that the first part of my next breat is the exhaled part of the previous breath. That makes me a bit claustrophobic. Having fresh air constantly eliminates that problem. And, 2.) the aforementioned exhaled breath will cause the inside of the mask to fog up in cold weather. With the forced air, that is not a problem. The 4 adjustable straps makes it easy to adjust to make a good seal with my face. It comes with 3 filter canisters. Those cost $20 to $80 apiece if bought separately.
