It's easy to learn, and immediately familiar to traditional card gamers - Almost all of the illustrations are beautiful. The Ugly: - For some core gamers, the game might lack interest initially. Although I noted earlier that the game is suprisingly deep, it doesn't have the massive replayablity some games do. - You could easily replicate the game at home with a deck of cards. In that sense, the value proposition is relatively low. The Bad: - There's nothing bad per se about this game.

**Q: what is a trick-taking game?**
A: It is a game in which different cards have different values.  Players display their cards one at a time--an action referred to as a trick.  Of the cards displayed, that with the highest value wins, that is to say, takes the trick--they player to whom the highest value card belongs collects the cards displayed by all the other players on that trick. This action is repeated for the number of cards held by the player.  Look up the rules of bridge, hearts, spades, etc. to get a fuller description of a trick taking game.

**Q: Would this game be good for an adolescent-aged kid (or an adult) as kind of an introduction to Bridge? I found bridge hard to learn. Would this help?**
A: Yes. With a clear rulebook with good examples this game will be easier to learn. Plus there are only 3 suits and two players, so less to track overall. It will take some time to get good at the game though so don't get frustrated.

**Q: Whats the difference between the basic and premium pack?**
A: First I've heard of it. I even checked BGG and there is nothing about a premium addition. Probably just a seller trying to make his product sound better to get your busines.

**Q: What are the tokens for, I have no board in this set?**
A: Keeping score. There isn't a board, you just use them to track your score.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great, simple yet complex 2 player game

This is a great game to play, one of those ones where the gameplay is simple, yet can be quite complex. The card art is really lovely with poker size type cards. Unfortunately the quality of the cards isn't that good (imho) and they stick together a bit, making the initial dealing a little fiddly at times. The instructions, as with a lot of games, read a little bit like it's harder to play than it actually is. This has gone straight into our game night favourites, and the box is so compact (and has a fantastic plastic insert to keep cards and counters seperate) that we'll be taking it on our travels too. If you're looking for a fun, quick to play game for a couple, this is well worth a look. I can see why it comes up in many a "best two player game" list.
