## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many ounces of food does it hold?**
A: You have to understand how a wok is used.  You cook different foods and as they near finish, use push the food up the side to remain warm while you cook another ingredient (this is why you never want a non-stick wok - the food will slide back down to the cooking surface).  You don't just load it up and stir it.  That's like asking how much food will a flat electric griddle hold.  It isn't about volume.  You can definitely cook a meal for 4-6 people with this wok.  Cooking in a wok is a continual process.

**Q: What's the diameter of the bottom?**
A: The wok I received (November 2018) has a much larger flat base - almost 6.5 inches diameter. This appears to be an updated design to address the induction burner issue. It works great on my gas range.

**Q: What is used to season the pan?**
A: I use coconut oil to re-season, it works perfectly.  Before my first use, I coated the entire wok in coconut oil, and then placed it in the oven, upside over a large baking sheet (to catch any dripped oil).  I "baked"  the wok in the oven at 350 degrees for one hour. To do a quick "maintenance re-season" immediately after I cook, I clean the wok with water and a chain metal scrubber (never use soap on cast iron after the first wash directly out of the box).  I dry the wok thoroughly, then put a dollop of coconut oil in the wok and heat until it lightly starts to smoke. Remove the wok from the heat, then take a paper towel and spread the heated oil around the inside of the wok (be very careful).  Wipe out the excess oil, and then it's ready for the next meal.  And of course, cooking any foods with oil will season the pan on its own.

A: Its round on the inside. The outside does have a square flat area. The measurement of deepest part i do not yet have. If needed still, let me know.
