I've used some dollar store aprons before, but they're pretty much one-time use, so I decided to get the DFACKTO Heavy Duty Chef Apron. First, the apron is made of a combination of high-quality polyester and cotton with nylon straps. It has additional straps to customize between neck or shoulder straps, although the neck strap is fine for me. I appreciate the front pockets for any miscellaneous items you might have; they're also especially deep. A multi-tool is also included with the apron, which comes in handy. So far, I've used the apron in the kitchen, outside BBQ, gardening, and working in the garage, and this thing is a shield of a beast. There are some light stains, but it definitely repels the water beautifully.
