Every cut is precise and sharp, I do not need to use much pressure and the nail is cut easily without chipping. I wish I had these in the past, I probably have gone through 8 cheap ones that have rusted, fallen apart, or simply squashed and bent the nail before cutting. This nail cutter puts them all to shame. It's Made In Japan, has nothing to do with cheap chinese productions and it shows. Build quality is great and I feel I will only replace it if I lose it. It has a good weight and a small quality nail file in the handle. The price is high for such a little thing at first glance, but when you realize you don't need to replace it in your lifetime it quickly earns its price tag (£21 when I ordered it). I'll be giving them as gifts and highly recommend them to all, from nail technicians to your everyday bloke who hardly takes care of his nails. They are at the top of the tree. After looking at price history I see that the G-1008 was £10 to £15 from August 2016 to October 2018 before settling down at the current price of £22.89.
