Those are fine if you need to quickly detach, but to remove the belt from the pants, you still need to undo the tri-glide side of the buckle. If you need to quickly remove your pants with the ratchet belt, just press the button and easily loosen the belt. The best part of the ratchet belt is that tightening is easy, just pull the end of the belt. Loosening is just as easy with a push of the button. To remove the belt from the pants, just push the release button the pull the end out of the buckle, then grip the buckle and pull the pants, less than two second. And because it's a ratchet, the belt is infinitely adjustable. The rigidness of the belt is perfect. It's thick and stiff enough to hold up your gun, but it's not too stiff to be uncomfortable.
