I appreciate the style the information is given, but I think the range of subjects it so broad in age. From beginner information about puberty to the not so beginner information about first visit to a gynecologist. Speaks of healthy eating and goes into eating disorders. Talks about stress and about abusing drugs. While it does it very eloquently from an adult's point of view, my daughter being 9 doesn't know what getting high means. I understand that this conversation needs to happen and it will, but when looking for a book about what is happening to her body, I don't believe I need to cover what getting high exactly means (which it doesn't, just expects it's reader to know what getting high is). I know many will tell me I am living in a bubble, and maybe that is true, but she already has so many concerns about growing up and the changes happening. I don't need to give her more to worry about before she is ready to know about.
