As an ex-electronics engineer I wanted to check the design and quality of these before putting them in the ceiling as there are a lot of cheap and nasty (and potentially dangerous) import units on the market. So couldn't resist looking inside one before installation. Got to say I'm pretty impressed, the nice little switchmode PSU, circuit is well laid out with an internal (non replaceable) fuse and a fair bit of filtering, proper primary-secondary isolation and capacitors that are higher temp rated. Overall looks like a well designed and good quality product for the price. My only criticism is minor, the screw terminals are very small so you will struggle if your lighting wiring needs several units in parallel or (as suggested in the description) you want to wire several LED fittings to the same driver module ( I didn’t do this, the modules are cheap enough that I decided to keep the original setup in my house of one driver/transformer per fitting and in some areas I want to use 6.5w LED bulbs anyway) Needless to say they work well and the flickering and buzzing of my LED bulbs is completely eliminated. No diagram. Which input is which for the 240v in and which for LED out?** A: It is clearly marked on the case ! AC 240v in on the right, 12 DC out on the left. **Q: How do i fit these led transformers to the live feed to the light> i have halogen transformers which came with cables fitted. d** A: Pull out Fuse or turn OFF circuit trip switch so you are safe. See if you can simply undo cable terminals of existing transformer and simply replace with new LED driver. If not cut cables both sides and strip insulation etc. to connect a) mains side to Primary AC 240v and b) lamp holder side to Secondary 12v DC change lamps, put on covers etc and you are done. Replace Fuse/ trip back ON.
