Recliner function is good, no handle , but you have to push the seat back. I like the heavy corduroy fabric. We got green. Perfect for our trailer to lounge around. Not sure how they would be for a daily use recliner, but for occasional use, great! I'm 5' 10", & 240 lbs. Supports me fine. I gave it 4 stars vs 5 because, like many reclining chairs/ couches, it's not great for long term sleeping. A bit awkward for me.
