I just got it yesterday so I've only made whipped cream with it which was fast and easy! I used the splash guard because I didn't know if it would splatter, but the bowl is deep enough and so I didn't need it. The color is called Frosted Blue and it's a beautiful shade of powder blue - exactly what I was looking for and looks great in my kitchen. It has 12 speeds which is great and a speed guide around the speed dial which is very handy for a beginner like me! And it's nice and heavy so the mixer stays put on the highest speed. I can't wait to use it more!
