Although the pieces are plastic, they feel good quality and safe, rather than flimsy. I also like how easy they are to wipe clean. Everything fits well into the sturdy carrying case, and there is a good variety of items she reslly loves the glasses and the little name tag . Updating a few months after purchase: the lights and sounds stopped working a few weeks after the only thing that still works is the heart beat noise.
