My Tevas were squishy and comfy but don't measure up to the supportiveness of these. As far as sizing goes I tend to buy 9.5 but they didn't have half sizes so I sized down and they're perfect. The top straps I thought were too tight at first but it was just I wasn't used to the anti-slip material that touches the skin. The arch support is firm and I would say medium height. The soles are nice and grippy for slick surfaces.**3 month update**They're still comfortable and supportive but are really starting to show wear.
