As the mounting brackets are suspended from the top or the rear of your window frame, I suggest you order the blind in the width closest to but less than your window measurement at the narrowest point to insure the best light blocking result and more custom look. Try to keep this "gap" at a total of less than 1/4" for best results. I've done 4 so far on large windows and they are still easy to raise and lower. Tip for blocking all light at the bottom: Don't use the handle attachment provided as this allows light in around it.
