Designed for both horizontal and vertical surfaces, it creates unique crystalline patterns reminiscent of cosmic phenomena. Easy to apply with 4 coats on Cone 04 bisque and compatible with standard firing schedules, this glaze elevates pottery to celestial art. Ideal for professional and hobbyist ceramicists seeking a standout, otherworldly finish. ## Description It's out of this world! Iridescent mid-high fire (Cone 5-6) AMACO Cosmos Crystalline "CO" Glazes exhibit unique and captivating visual effects reminiscent of cosmic or otherworldly phenomena. They're meticulously crafted to capture the mesmerizing beauty of crystalline glazes in every brushstroke, right out of the jar. Transform your pottery into celestial masterpieces that sparkle with the brilliance of distant galaxies. Crystals will develop on both horizontal and vertical clay surfaces; vertical surfaces will encourage running. Apply 4 coats to Cone 04 bisque, then fire to Cone 5-6. These glazes can be fired in a normal medium-speed firing with no special cooling schedule required. To take this glaze to the next level, use a controlled cooling scheduled for increased crystal growth. For best results, leave inside or back of form unglazed to avoid pinholing; if glazing a piece all the way to the end of the foot, use a drip tray to protect kiln shelves. AMACO Cosmos CO-06 Supernova is a highly fluid, creamy white translucent glaze with a crystalline surface like frost on a window; the gloss glaze surface is opalescent and breaks slightly more cream than white. Glaze performs best at Cone 5 but can be fired to Cone 6. 16 oz. (473 mL) jar. ## Features - It's out of this world!
