The die off will be extreme without some efforts made. Anything FBA will have extreme die off as it isn't stored in refrigeration and then not shipped with an ice pack or insulated mailer. Either find a seller online that uses ice pack or just buy it local at your store. **Q: How does one travel using this product that needs refrigeration?** A: I use another Probiotic for travel, Jarrowdophilus, or Culturelle. **Q: Is there guarantee like the product is manufactured no more than 1 month away now? I don't want to buy if it was produced a year ago.** A: Hi Nancy,The expiration date on the current Lot in stock is May 2018. We sell a lot of this formula in our Retail Store so the dates are always fresh. This formula is recommended by the manufacturer to be refrigerated (zoom into the pictures of the bottle on Amazon) to avoid die off of colonies when in warmer temperatures. When your package arrives, the ice pack will be melted and the bottle might be warm to the touch.
