Is it possible to control moisture in a humid environment?** A: Yes, these work well. We live in a very high humidity state and I'm happy with the control of the moisture. **Q: How often can the silica gel pack need to be replaced?** A: It depends on your conditions, usually you need replace it when few orange silica gel beads change to dark green, you can replace the packet. **Q: How can I store the rest of packets?** A: A few comments here regarding "moisture absorbers" (silica gel packets). First, store unused packets id a tight lidded container or baggy, such as a zip lock baggie. Keep the filled container/baggy in a cool place. Next, be aware that these packets can be reactivated after use. If there are instructions on the packet then follow those. If not, the "used" packets can be placed on a cookie sheet and backed in the oven at 200 degrees for 8 hours to dry out absorbed moisture, being sure that the packet is not flammable. At the end of the reactivation period, be careful with handling.. The silica will retain heat for some time, so caution is the byword. Silica gel can be reactivated countless number of times. Also note that silica can be an irritant on skin or eyes, so don't open the original packs. Silica supposedly can also be reactivated in a microwave oven, but I don't have any info on using that technique. Of course, cost-effectiveness is a tradeoff reactivating silica packets using the oven. Coming back to your original question, the packets can be stored in tight containers or baggies for quite some time; consider how long those little packets are in containers housing pills, vitamins, etc. **Q: Any guide for using? How many packets should I use for per 1 cubit feet?** A: 2 cubic feet suggest 30 gram 4 cubic feet suggest 60 gram 5 cubic feet suggest 100 gram ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I needed to insert in small vacuum bags with seeds I store for later use. Perfect! *by on Reviewed in the United States 19 April 2026* Excellent product—exactly what I needed for reliable seed storage.I’m using these 5g silica gel packs in small vacuum-sealed bags for storing seeds as part of my nursery operation, and they perform flawlessly. The size is perfect for small to medium bags—enough capacity to control moisture without over-drying or wasting space. In Florida humidity, moisture control is critical, and these packs have made a noticeable difference. The bags stay dry, seeds remain in excellent condition, and I have full confidence in longer-term storage without mold or degradation concerns. The packs themselves are consistent, clean, and easy to work with. No dust, no mess, and they fit neatly into vacuum-sealed setups without interfering with the seal.If you’re serious about seed storage—especially in humid environments—these are a must-have. Reliable, effective, and well worth it.Unquestionable FIVE STARS, and HIGHLY recommended! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by on Reviewed in Saudi Arabia 3 June 2024* Well sealed, works wonders ### ⭐ Not color changing *by on Reviewed in India 17 October 2023* The description says it is rechargeable color changing from orange to green but on opening found the beads inside the pouch to be white.Cannot know weather they are rechargeable or not. ## Frequently Bought Together - Silica Gel Packs – 150 Packs 5 Gram Desiccant Packs, Moisture Absorbers for Food Storage with Color Indicating, Premium Food Grade Silica Packets for Spices, Jewelry, Shoes, Electronics - 120 Packs 500CC Food Grade Oxygen Absorbers (10 Pack in Individual Vacuum Bag ) , Oxygen Absorbers For Long Term Food Storage with Oxygen Indicator , Works in Mylar Bags, Mason Jars, and Vacuum Bags - Hombao 200 Packs 500CC Food Grade Oxygen Absorbers (10 Packs x 1 Vacuum Bag) - Long Term Food Storage O2 Absorbers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/666356158-absorbking-silica-gel-packs-150-packs-5-gram-desiccants-moisture](https://www.desertcart.us/products/666356158-absorbking-silica-gel-packs-150-packs-5-gram-desiccants-moisture) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
