I'm not sure about that. I do like the low profile of this pack, though. The belt adjusts to the right size. It's still big enough to fit my stupid huge smartphone (I have a moto z droid). I bought this for a vacation to mexico, where don't really want to carry a purse but still don't want to be without my phone and essentials. So, it works.
