So I ordered this set. I installed the transmitter, leaving the original sensor which is buried in the center of my limestone driveway to test. It is working just fine and I'll keep the new one as a spare. No need to dig the old one which is in about 20' of conduit before it climbs my pole another 10'. The 2500 series receiver doesn't work with this unit. After reading the directions AFTER I installed the transmitter, I had to bring the new transmitter down and into the house to "pair" the new receiver. I later bought another receiver for my workshop and had to do it again. The second receiver also has a doorbell which needs pairing. Needless to say, I should have read the instructions first. All are working wonderfully and the multiple sounds AND lights have been helpful. I haven't experienced any thunderstorms yet.
