I overlapped the four stands to create a fuller look in the middle, then used some green floral wire to secure the strands together after I had placed it on the mantle. In doing all of this, one longer strand of flowers did come off but it was easily tucked in somewhere else. If I were to put this up again, I’d probably place it first, then lay it out on the floor and secure it with the wire. I’m glad there were 4 strands because one would not fit the length of my mantle, which I think is 6 feet. Overall I’m happy with the purchase as it’s realistic looking from a few feet away.
