Review: A great standard black ink - I have a fine nib Waterman fountain pen which I have loaded with this ink. It performs on all pretty much all fronts: This ink is a 'genuine' black (many inks are a very dark greyish shade, but this is ink is a true pitch black). Regards its performance: It doesn't feather or blotch on paper. Nor does it 'bleed' through to the other side of the page. It flows well and writes beautifully as well as drying fast. As said, the pen I used is a fine nib. With cheaper black inks and a fine nib, I find writing can appear thin and scratchy. However, the Onyx is such a true pitch black that fine writing appears full and substantial -it looks great.

this is one of the products where you get what it says on the tin! Oxblood ink is probably the closest colour you will get to writing in blood without draining your arm! ive used this ink through a couple of Jinhao fountain pens and a Pilot Parallel and it has performed perfectly all the time, with smooth flow, good cleaning and great colour. The ink starts as a deep,dark red with a hint of brown, and will dry into deep red wine coloured burgundy. Shading isnt great unless youre using a very wide nib and good paper but you can get some. There is no sheen to the ink and you will see markedly differing drying colours depending on your choice of paper. this is a superb ink; in a colour that might not suit everyone but will certainly give a richness to your writing or calligraphy
