Had to send who.e unit back for a refund then start all over with the same issue. The air pump silicon seal area is scrubbed so it never seals and leaks water and or air depending on water Level. Other than that it is pretty solid. **Q: Manual says during storage, keep at least 2 inches of water inside. So before first use, do I have to fill some water for storage purposes?** A: The manual's 2 inch water advisory is for AFTER the first use so as to keep the filter from drying out. If you've never used the can or prefer to store it away prior to the first use, then a low level of water is unnecessary since it has not yet been exposed to water. **Q: wow such a great creation! What I would recommend, which I have ready for mine, is go to the nearest big box hardware store and get a inline carbon filter for your ice machine, about $15.00, and attach it to the spout on the jerry can with potable hose.
