Pure Yacon Syrup 324g (Health Spark). 100% Peruvian Yacon Syrup Natural sweetener with Very Low GI. Sweet, malty caramel taste Use to add sweetness to porridge and yoghurt. Stir into milkshakes, smoothies & chocolate drinks. Use in baking and sweet or savoury cooking. This is a highly versatile natural syrup that is able to add sweetness without adding too many calories and has a Low Glycemic Load (i. e. little effect on blood glucose levels). The syrup is made from the sweet tubers of the Yacon plant which is a popular food crop in Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and other parts of South America. Yacon is high in fructo-oligosaccharides, which are a pre-biotic. Shreds of the tubers can also be consumed as a sweet ingredient in muesli and act as a healthy digestive.
