I bought these lights to use as uplights for a prom. I was really worried about the quality after reading reviews but these are amazing! I bought 2 packs and they really brought a beautiful ambiance to the dance. I love that it has so many colors so we can use them over and over. The cords are only about 2 ft long but that was fine for us because our building had a lot of outlets. I would 100% recommend these and I am very picky. I will say they did not light up the room by themselves but they did turn everything purple which is what we wanted. We added twinkle lights on the ceiling and it was really gorgeous.
