It's quick, quiet, looks fab and works a treat. However, the small scale filter in the spout is not fit for purpose. It's fiddly to remove for cleaning and is very, very flimsy. Within a few months it had broken, but on the Swan website, a new filter costs almost £10!!! Assuming I need to replace it every three months, that doubles the price of this kettle in the first year alone. I cannot imagine the filter costs more that 20p to manufacture, so this is an obscene price to charge, but without a filter it is very poor. I've just found a nylon tea strainer for £2.50 on Amazon from which I should be able to make five replacement filters. It's a solution, but appalling that I should have to take these steps with such an otherwise high-quality kettle.
