I searched all over amazon for one that could handle that and a hair dryer, I chose this one because it specifically said it could.When I tried using my curling iron while overseas, it either would not turn on or would not heat up. Then it started smelling like it was burning...so, now my curling iron is fried and I will have to get a new one. Plus I have spent a week overseas unable to do my hair. I pulled out the insert directions after trying to use my curling iron and discovered it states not for use on curling irons.
