Review: Good Quality and Easier to Fit than Expected - Having read some of the reviews here, bemoaning the quality of this hood and suggesting it was tricky to fit, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived today. First of all, it was 5 days earlier than the date given by desertcart. Secondly, it is very well made, with a PU outer and a flock interior lining. It is 8 inches (20cm) deep on all 3 sides, other than where it tapers inwards, for the final 12cm. Thirdly, it was very easy to fit and sits snugly on all 3 sides of my Dell 27 inch Ultra-slim monitor - with no gaps. The only issue, in terms of the fitting, is that the thin elastic band that is meant to sit along the bottom edge of the monitor was cover the buttons, so I positioned it along the back of the monitor. It doesn't affect how well the hood fits around the monitor, and could probably have been left off completely. The real test of this monitor is whether it reduces reflections. I would say, for my situation, not entirely. I have windows on the right hand side and directly facing the screen and would not have expected it to have eliminated them entirely. But there is a noticeable difference in the strength of the colours and definition of the image - at least a 70% improvement, and I'm not struggling to work on my photography editing, during the daytime. Maybe the quality of this product has been improved since some of the reviews were written.
