I was used to having to adjust my watch band frequently throughout the day when the end would come loose. The traditional band that came with the watch is also composed of a rubber/plastic material that traps moisture and can cause skin irritation. This band is a soft, elastic material. It was easy to adjust to fit. The material "breathes" so it doesn't get too damp from moisture/sweat. They come in fun colors and patterns and change out fairly easily. I have worn it 24/7 (except for short charging periods and showers) and it has held up very well. I am not sure I would get it wet, I think it would hold up, but would absorb and hold the moisture. Make sure to measure! It warns you of this on the product description, but of course I missed that and initially ordered the wrong size.
