It features advanced DSP processing with a 24-bit, 96 kHz sampling rate, effectively reducing engine noise and eliminating clicks and crackles for an enhanced listening experience. Proudly brought to you by Pro-Ject, the brand that revitalized vinyl in 1991. ## Description Bring Your Vinyls Back To Life The problem with old vinyl. Everyone has their old favourite record that has been damaged over time, is very loud and probably no longer to buy new either. Many titles are also not uploaded to streaming platforms, so the only way to hear them is the old record. Surely light noise and crackers are part of the vinyl experience, but at some point it's no more fun and your favourite record may stay on the shelf for the rest of its long life. We know these problems and want to bring these plates back to your turntable. The solution is now here, and it's called Vinyl NRS Box S3. How does it work? Connect the output of your phono preamp to the vinyl NRS Box S3. First, the signal is digitized with 24 bit and 96 kHz. If the input signal is too loud, the overflow LED will tell you this. You can then activate the -6dB switch. The real magic happens in the digital domain. De-crackling The signal is filtered so as not to interfere with the actual processing. High frequency components are used as markers for crackers. The special algorithm can now detect these peaks. With the potentiometer on the front, the sensitivity can be easily adjusted. The LED gives you instant feedback about the process. Crackers can be reduced by up to 8 dB, which is a great improvement for the listening experience. If you do not want to use the de-crackling function, simply turn the pot all the way to the left and the algorithm is switched to bypass. Vinyl Noise Reduction System (VNRS) The signal is first separated into two frequency bands and then fed into two expanders that increase the signal-to-noise ratio. With this technique, no noise modulations are audible! We are able to reduce noise by up to 8dB. Connection & Setup The Vinyl NRS Box S3 connects between the phono preamp and your preamp or full amp. When you turn it on, the vinyl NRS Box S3 is immediately active. If you don't want them in the signal path, just turn it off. The device is then bypassed and the inputs are galvanically connected to the outputs. Two de-crackling intensity algorithms are available: the basic algorithm processes the signal very easily, the advanced algorithm is stronger and has a higher processing intensity. Always try the basic setting first and adjust the intensity with the potentiometer. By pressing the "Intensity" button, you can activate the extended mode if desired and/or necessary. The LED shows you whether the cracking noise is reduced. If you are satisfied with the de-crackling setting but still hear a lot of noise, you can now activate the Vinyl Noise Reduction feature by pressing the VNRS button. For vinyl noise reduction, there is only one preset that you don't need to adjust. ## Features - Noise reduction for vinyl records - Reduces engine noise from turntable - DSP processing with 24 bit, precise 96 kHz sampling rate - De-crackle function to reduce clicks and cracks - From Pro-Ject: the company that launched the comeback of vinyl in 1991 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BSR2Q9BG | | Best Sellers Rank | #619 in Media Storage Sleeves | | Brand Name | Pro-Ject | | Item Weight | 3500 Grams | | Manufacturer | Pro-Ject Audio Systems | | Model | PJ291481 | | Part Number | PJ291481 | ## Images ![Vinyl NRS Box S3, noise reduction and de-crackle, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61F8-HMThLL.jpg) ![Vinyl NRS Box S3, noise reduction and de-crackle, Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/712x-XjClAL.jpg) ![Vinyl NRS Box S3, noise reduction and de-crackle, Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51hkEK-v8oL.jpg) ![Vinyl NRS Box S3, noise reduction and de-crackle, Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51ju3YeO+VL.jpg) ![Vinyl NRS Box S3, noise reduction and de-crackle, Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71hLuXvWRqL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Colour Name** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pro-Ject Vinyl NRS Box S3, Noise Reduction for Vinyl Records (Black) - Pro-Ject: Acryl-It Platter Upgrade - Boundless Audio Record Cleaner Brush - Carbon Fiber Anti-Static Vinyl Brush - Record Player Accessories for Vinyl Cleaning --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/659895900-vinyl-nrs-box-s3-noise-reduction-and-de-crackle-black](https://www.desertcart.us/products/659895900-vinyl-nrs-box-s3-noise-reduction-and-de-crackle-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
