Either one will technically interchange and cut but there is a huge benefit in certain geometry of the blades that make them better suited for one or the other. The lower the tooth angle, higher tooth count make it better suited for a miter saw because of the way the blade enters the wood and make cleaner crosscuts. Lower tooth count and higher angle makes blade better for long rip cuts on stuff like a table saw. Also the deeper gullet helf keep the blade cooler for those long cuts **Q: Will this fit a Dewalt 10inch miter saw?** A: It should,i see why not,i put it in some no mame 10in miter saw and it fit perfectly **Q: would this blade "do" with cutting pergo laminate flooring?** A: Cutting laminate flooring is a great way to dull your blade so, if possible use an older blade rather than trashing a brand new blade. I ended the life of an older blade cutting laminate flooring for a small 10 x 12 room - it really was that dramatic - the blade burned wood afterward. But 80 tooth is makes for a smooth cut in laminate. **Q: Do you think this would be good for acrylic and lexan?** A: I am not sure. The times I have cut plastics, I have used a finer toothed blade. The kerf is narrow so I think it may work if the feed rate is slow. It produces cuts that are glue-ready and wastes a minimum of material. It will handle heavier materials, though with some effort. I have used it on 2x for framing and even the occasional PT, and it does fine, albeit rather slowly, as one would expect from an 80t blade. It does fairly well on plywood. But what it really shines at is crosscuts in fairly thin material, like 1x boards and moldings. The cuts are just gorgeous and blowouts are minimal, even with fairly delicate finger-joint pine millwork. It is manufactured in Thailand. I have had mixed results with Makita blades over the years, and I had low expectations of an imported blade this cheap.
