They are extremely comfortable and prevent the extra strap from getting caught in anything which is extremely important as a blue collar worker. Plus it lets your wrist breathe. My first one wore around the little pins that connect it to the watch, but again I work as a welder and put it through a rough life. The first one lasted almost a year.
