I love Stephen Covey’s writings, as well as Zig Ziglar and other predecessors, but something about Hal’s story— knowing that he really did apply these concepts in the toughest situations— gives me extra respect and faith that they really do work. From the first time I heard him say, “Truth always prevails,” he had me.I’ve heard other self-help gurus say, “Do this and it will work,” only it didn’t. Which made me feel like there are a lot of snake oil sellers out there. But Hal is for real. And every time I read his writings or listen to him on a podcast, I get reinspired.
