It retains moisture very well and some of my seeds came up in days. I used the 5-pack of 3x4 cells with moisture-retaining hoods. How do you measure how durability it is? I don't know. The size is compressed, so it grows a lot, like me when the college jogging team comes by. I'm sure it has nutrients.
