Review: Matchbox blank box - I gave these a 5 star rating because I love them. For those of you into crafting, these are fantastic to stain, paint, or just decorate. The quality of the wood is good and and wood stain is soaks in well. The only thing I will say is, if you're going to paint them, be careful because too much paint can affect how they slide. Value for money? They certainly are. You can use them as trinket boxes, gift boxes, or even sweet boxes.

**Q: Does anyone know the internal dimensions of the box? Thank you :)**
A: Its poor quality. Most stuff via Amazon is excellent. I wouldn't recommend the box to anyone.

**Q: I'm looking for a box to keep an old rare book in. Can you advise of the inner dimensions of the box?**
A: The internal measurements are : Length 23.5cm or 9.5 inches Width 12.5cm or 5 inches & Depth 3cm or 1.5inches in the base with a further 1.5cm or 0.5 inches in the lid. The gluing on these boxes can be a little suspect especially on the lid & base plates but nothing that cannot be easily resolved, the clasps & general construction are certainly strong enough for the intended purpose, & might I suggest obtaining a piece of good scrap leather to glue into the bottom as a means to prevent scuffing on that rare edition. Hope this helps & Good Luck!

The box is a nice size for what I want but the main issue is how thin the wood is - it feels like I'll break it if I more than lightly touch it. Hopefully as I'm using it for sewing accessories it will be fine
