Perhaps the table was meant just to be moved forward and back over a bed, but I end up moving this throughout the day in all sorts of directions - forward/back, side-to-side, various angles. This was very hard on the wheels which ended up breaking or bending, moving on carpet was a real pain, and it was beginning to tear up my carpet.So, I removed the 6 wheels from the bed table, put layers of a strong tape under the legs to smooth out any resulting rough areas, and placed a slider under each wheel. Moving the table in any direction now is so easy, now the table glides across the carpet.
