Before getting this filter I only had 2 sponge filters for my 55 gallon aquarium, the water was really really cloudy after adding fish and letting it sit for or week or so. The cloudiness would just not go away, I tried adding water clarifier but that didn’t do anything. But after buying the extra large filter it cleared up with in two days. Setting up and starting was super easy to do ! I did have a user error where I forgot to turn on the inner light so it wasn’t working at its full capacity but after that it made my water crystal clear!! It’s also super quiet and was a perfect size my cabinet. It’s been a few weeks now and it’s still keeping up! Would 100% recommend this product!!!! Review: Motor failed way too soon - I bought this filter about a month and a half ago for my turtle tank, and unfortunately the motor has already completely stopped working. It ran fine at first, but didn’t last nearly as long as expected. For something that’s supposed to handle a turtle tank (which we all know can get messy), I really needed something durable and reliable. Having it fail this quickly is really disappointing, especially considering the price. I wouldn’t recommend this filter if you’re looking for something long-term or dependable for turtles. ## Features - One More Replacement Bulb & Complimentary Filter Medias: There are 2 bulbs come with this filter, which can effectively turn green water tank into crystal clear, improving the water quality. One more bulb is equipped with this filter that longer service life is ensured and the bulb can be timely replaced once the assembled one broken. Complimentary filter sponges and bio balls also speed up purifying the water. - One Step To Make The Filter Running: Updated Design - Siphon Water Filling Nozzle, only one step that filling the water inlet system with water by adding water from the the water filling nozzle, water will automatically run into the filter after plugging the filter in and opening the water flow valve without any strenuous operation. - Adjustable Water Flow: Adjustable water flow valve is designed to adapt to various usage scenarios. By rotating the flow regulating handle, water flow can be adjusted from maximum to minimum, even to zero. It is applicable to both fish tank and turtle tank, which varies in water demand. - Widly Applicable Canister Filter：AMOSIJOY external aquarium filter is suitable for freshwater fish tanks, turtle tank and aquariums. Low wattage and high flow without air inside the filter, generates no noise. The sound is ≤ 30db. - 180 Days Warranty: We provide 180 days customer service. If any issue occurs to the filter, please contact us to solve the issue. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 3.4 out of 5 stars 77 Reviews | ## Images ![Canister Filter, Ultra-Quiet External Aquarium Filter with Free Media for Large Fish Tanks and Aquariums - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71NOTLIm6BL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing!!! *by A***R on April 13, 2026* Literally night and day difference! The first time I started this one it did leak. I stopped it, re-opened it, drained all the excess water from the top and reseated it and the leaking stopped. It's very quiet. Easy to start as well. this is my 3rd buy of this brand and whenever I need another one I will have no issue buying again. Update 5/24/25 I now have 4 of these models. Totally satisfied with how they work and the ease of setup.
