The Inforad M1 Radar GPS Warning Device is a compact, lightweight motorcycle accessory that uses real-time GPS to alert riders of hazardous areas and radar zones. ## Description

What are they? Inforad Moto is a GPS warning device about risk areas, specially developed for the world of motorbikes. Its function is to alert the driver in real time to proximity to a hazardous area in order to avoid excessive and dangerous braking due to the driver being taken by surprise. INFORAD is safe and effective. Thanks to the GPS system, INFORAD Moto always knows the position of the motorcycle and its processor makes comparisons with radar points contained in its database. When you enter a dangerous area, indicated by a radar or not, INFORAD tells you immediately using bright, simple and comprehensible signals. The Inforad Moto device is affected by difficulties with weather, installation and discretion. INFORAD Moto takes these conditions into account from its creation. The product is divided into two parts; a fixed part installed in the vehicle which we call "stand"; a removable part that contains the main electronics and can be connected to the stand, which we call the "cartridge"; we created two different parts to facilitate easy assembly and disassembly of the GPS for updates of the database of risk areas, the memory of the device without needing to remove the whole device.

Review: Not installed yet. - I must admit i did not fit the first one i had bought until last Friday, think i have had it for two years. One of my mates asked me to go for a ride, my wife was not pleased as she had heard he was a nutter, so i fitted it to the bike after i updated the software which was easy. Went for a blast and was shocked it picked up ALL the fixed cameras and mobile cameras, the mate i went out with was also impressed. Dead easy to fit two wires and cable ties and you are there. This second unit is for my other bike. I have three of these units and they do work, well worth the money.
Review: Works well but aerial positioning critical - A good product and at £25 delivered it's just 25% the cost of a speeding ticket so I felt it would be worth experimenting with. The unit comes very well packaged and seems sturdy although it's a little bulkier than I would like. I managed to find space under my seat though and spent a while routeing the cables neatly to the front of the bike. I thought I'd found the ideal spot for the aerial on top of my brake reservoir (rectangular, flat topped and clear view of the sky) but the unit just wouldn't pick up satellites no matter how long I left it initializing. I was very disappointed but in desperation relocated the aerial to the top of the yoke (not the neatest looking place if I'm honest) and it now picks up satellites very quickly and works as advertised - very well - in fact I've actually ordered a second unit for my sportsbike. I've given it a 4 star rating - dropped a star due to the size of the unit and the fact that the aerial is sensitive to location. Top Tip - experiment with various locations for the aerial and make sure it works before securing it in place.

I was a bit dubious something this cheap would actually work - but I'm pleased to say it's excellent. The product is well made and once you find a decent switched power supply, pretty easy to fit. Downloading the GPS data is easy (provided you've got a PC - it won't work on a Mac) and it's already proved it's worth on some unfamiliar roads. A really good product.
