I had WMC 10k ran 36:40 at only 138HR then 2 weeks later April 12 I ran 17:15 5k at only 137HR that’s 5:33 avg per mile. This definitely huge difference with or without! Low heart rate mean you have plenty of energy in race/long run/easy run that’s when I learned if I want try reach 150 HR it would be 16:00 5k I’m working on it!
