Its precise 3/8" male flare to 1/2" female pipe thread fitting ensures easy installation on fire pits and fireplaces, delivering powerful heat output while enhancing safety and efficiency. ## Description Our LP air mixture valve is what you will need whenever using LP for your indoor fireplace, outdoor fireplace or fire pit. LP or Liquid Propane is heavier than air and will burn dark and sooty if not mixed with air. Our LP air mixture valve, or air mixer, will mix air with the incoming LP to burn clean and bright. It's more of a fitting than an actual valve and should be connected directly to your burner ring or pan. Make sure to install the fitting in the correct direction, the 150K and 300K burners have a flow directional arrow to follow. The 90K model only fits one way. The most common size is our 150K BTU model. If after installing one of our air mixture valves and you still see some sooting you may have moisture in your lines, excessive pressure, or an incorrectly sized gas orifice, please consult with a professional gas plumber. Please skip to 3:35 to see the valve installed and 5:15 in the video to see some nice clean flames. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by L***D on January 8, 2018* As advertised - good product ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality, wonderful support *by M***✨ on June 15, 2016* I bought this to convert my Endless Summer, GAD860SP, LP Gas Outdoor Firebowl with Slate/Marble Mantel per the instructions by Stefan Urquelle (the video review here). There is a part in the video where you must connect this piece to an adapter that goes to the propane regulator. So, I'm not knowledgable in any of this so the more help I can get the better. So when my part came I was thrilled with the label directing me to the website for more information. I didn't think I would need it but it is important to have the proper adaptor to bring this piece to the propane regulator. It's the part in Stefan's video that sends us off the the hardware store. My journey failed miserably. Three days of searching with no results lead me to my "duh" moment where I thought to call Dreffco for help and boy, did I get help. In order to understand exactly what I needed the gentleman went to the video to see what I was trying to do. Understood what I was trying to do and though he warned me that an air mixer must be directly connected to the burner, he approved this set up as long as there was a regulator. There is a very strong effort to insure safety with Dreffco. The label on my mixture valve, the information from the man who answered the phone and website all send a message of conscious care. By the way, They knew that part i needed and are sending it out.
