I ordered these to stick on the support of my Lanai. A raccoon kept pulling the screen away and walked right on in! After putting the screen back together, I added these spikes to ensure that she couldn’t get in. The spike sections are very hard plastic and the tips are quite sharp. It worked well. She can’t get in. Added a a few of them to my window sills to stop the birds from sitting there and doing what they do best. I stick them in place with double sided tape. There are holes that would all screws to be used. Great product and the beautiful part is, they can’t wear out. All I will caution you about is that they are really sharp. You definitely don’t want these things where children may accidentally get close to them.

We have just placed the spikes without fastening them in place. It has worked well so far to keep our cat from jumping on the ledge and scratching the screen.

These should work just fine for what we want, but I would warn people with young children not to put them anywhere a child could fall on them. The points are really stiff and sharp.

Installed some of these on TOP of our fenceline. Easy to install and break apart for different lengths. Hope it's works to keep squirrels off our roof.

These bid spikes for outdoor use were purchased to place in the eaves of our grill pavilion upon the recommendation of a neighbor. The intention was to prevent the birds from building nests in the eaves. The spikes are very sharp to the touch and we were hopeful that a few (3) well placed, velcro ( not included) adhered would resolve the appeal of the nesting space. We were wrong. The birds love them. We even used them (7) pointed in every direction as a deterrence. The birds loved them as the spikes gave them more structure to place their twigs in, on and around. The product is well designed and robust, and much to our and our neighbor's somewhat expensive surprise, they just did not serve as a deterrent for nesting birds. Used so not returnable but great for building nests.

I ordered these to stop raccoons from walking up my deck stairs and defecating on my deck. I lined up rows of these and the raccoons seem to just walk right over them. I tried 4 rows deep preventing them from just stepping over them, but they seemingly are able to just walk right over the top of them.

Birds kept perching on the rafters of my carport and of course pooping on my truck a friend told me about these bird spikes they put up to keep birds from away from shed where they store their firewood so I ordered them to give a try so far truck has been clear of any poop so glad I ordered them very easy to put up I used wire ties and not expensive
