I used a precision blade like an Exact O blade since scissors might cut off too much. Took patience to put the 21mm pin back once cut but over all it’s comfortable and looks very sharp. When adjusting the strap to fit my wrist (trimming rubber and putting the pin back) clasp does not have perforated holes... it only has deep grooves expected to hold the pins that hold your watch. I had to open the 2 holes you see in the picture, by using a very thin and sharp screw driver and a hammer.
