Measuring 2"D x 3.4"W x 1.25"H, it blends seamlessly into outdoor landscaping, offering a discreet, quick-access solution for homeowners seeking reliable backup key storage without compromising style or security. ## Description The RocKey Safe fake rock cover works as a decorative key hiding device for outside doors, garages, and side gates. Its grey speckled surface and flat bottom sit naturally on soil, gravel, or pavers, giving you a discreet way to stash a spare near any entry point. If you have ever been locked out or needed to leave a key for a dog walker, this hide a key outside decorative piece solves the problem without visible lockboxes or combination panels.Inside the hollow shell, a sliding black bracket holds a single standard house key or most flat car keys up to roughly 2.6 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. The inner holder is 1.7 inches across and 0.85 inches in profile height, so thicker transponder fobs and bulky key rings will not fit. Check your key against those dimensions before choosing a hiding spot. One rock unit and one interior key tray are included in the box.Resin construction gives the body scratch resistance and enough heft to remain in place through breezy conditions. The secret compartment stays closed during normal handling, yet slides open by hand whenever you need the key. Because the closure is friction-fit rather than gasket-sealed, a sheltered location such as a covered porch, potted planter, or garden border delivers the most reliable moisture protection over months of use.Place the rock where guests, relatives, or service providers can reach it but passersby would not think to look. It pairs with a smart lock or keypad as a backup entry method, so a power outage or dead keypad battery never means a call to a locksmith. The unit is freestanding and requires no mounting hardware, screws, or adhesive. Each RocKey Safe key hiding device measures 3.4 x 2 x 1.25 inches and is backed by the manufacturer. If the color runs darker than your existing stones, tucking it beside mulch or under a low shrub brings the contrast down and keeps the profile low. ## Features - BLENDS INTO FLOWER BEDS AND MULCH: Textured matte finish and granite-like speckle make this secret key holder hard to spot among real stones. One owner had trouble finding it in a rock garden. - SLIDES OPEN BY HAND IN SECONDS: The interior tray opens without tools so you can store or grab a standard house key during a lockout. No fumbling when you need access fast. - KEEPS KEYS DRY IN NORMAL RAIN: Durable resin body resists everyday moisture. For the best seal, place the key box in a sheltered or well-drained spot and avoid standing water. - SIZED TO STAY HIDDEN: At 3.4 x 2 x 1.25 in, the compact shell tucks under shrubs or beside a patio without drawing attention. Weighs enough to hold its position in wind. - SHARE ACCESS WITHOUT SHARING CODES: Keep a hideakey ready for pet sitters, cleaners, or family so a dead battery or failed smart lock never leaves anyone stranded. One unit and key tray included. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B077J57K8T | | Additional Features | Dustproof, Emergency Unlocking, Portable, Scratch Resistant, Secret Compartment | | Alarm | Visual | | Best Sellers Rank | #26,141 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #18 in Diversion Safes #1,568 in Travel Accessories | | Brand | RocKey Safe | | Brand Name | RocKey Safe | | Chamber Depth | 1.25 inches | | Chamber Height | 1.25 inches | | Color | Grey speckled | | Control Type | Key Control | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 2,742 Reviews | | Included Components | Key | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 2"D x 3.4"W x 1.25"H | | Item Highlight | Realistic Stone Look, Spare Key Holder, Outdoor Yard Landscaping, Hidden Safe for House Keys, Resin - RocKey Safe | | Lock Type | Key | | Manufacturer Part Number | OLKEYROCK | | Material | Resin | | Material Type | Resin | | Model Number | OLKEYROCK | | Mounting Type | Freestanding | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 2"D x 3.4"W x 1.25"H | | Special Feature | Dustproof, Emergency Unlocking, Portable, Scratch Resistant, Secret Compartment | | UPC | 662921002176 | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** RocKey Safe - **Product Dimensions:** 2"D x 3.4"W x 1.25"H - **Lock Type:** Key - **Color:** Grey speckled - **Material:** Resin - **Special Feature:** Fireproof - **Mounting Type:** Freestanding - **Included Components:** Keys - **Water Resistance Level:** Not Water Resistant - **UPC:** 662921002176 ## Images ![Hide a Key Outside Fake Rock, Weatherproof Key Hider for Yard Garden - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81mg+G+4JBL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Hide A Key in Plain Sight in a Real Looking Rock/Stone, Holds Standard Sized Spare Keys - RamPro Hide-a-Spare-Key Fake Rock - Looks & Feels like Real Stone - Safe for Outdoor Garden or Yard, Geocaching (1) - Master Lock Magnetic Key Holder, 1 Pack, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/65033079-hide-a-key-outside-fake-rock-weatherproof-key-hider-yard](https://www.desertcart.us/products/65033079-hide-a-key-outside-fake-rock-weatherproof-key-hider-yard) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
