Review: The one ring to bind them. - I'm currently revisiting the lotr trilogy on the back of the 25th anniversary and have been busy dragging stuff out of storage, although my Sting replica is still on display after 23 years. The quality of this lamp is pretty good with accurate colouring and a nice finish. I was hoping it would give out more light based on the photos in the reviews but camera shots seem to make it look brighter than it actually is. The other issue is the switch location on the underside of the base but it's a minor niggle. I was in two minds on sending it back but after spending an evening with it I quite like it as a decorative item. I may get the Phial of Earendil to boost up the lighting a bit. Despite it's shortcomings I'm giving this 5 stars as it just looks so damn cool.
