I use them over socks and also over baby grows to stop my very wiggly baby boy from getting tangled up in the legs. Ok, so you only get a small amount of material for your money, but you're paying for the ingenuity and it's a lot cheaper than buying new socks all the time. I only have one pair and they wash and dry so quickly. My only, very minor, comment to the makers is that I put them on my baby inside out so the seams don't dig in - it would be better if they were purposefully designed with the seams, and label, on the outside.
