I've worn them all Summer with no signs of stretching, so they seem durable. The hooks remain secure. I take my dog for walks in the woods, and blouse my pants to prevent ticks from climbing up the inside of my legs. They are very effective for that -- I've seen ticks cluster at the closure point but none get higher. After seeing that, I started spraying my socks below the blousing point. The hooks were getting caught in my socks, but if I keep the blousers pulled away when taking them on or off I avoid the problem. They are very easy to use; just stretch them around the back of the leg, hook them in front, and while keeping the hooks away from your socks, stuff 1-2" of the bottom of the pant leg up underneath blouser.
