Review: Perfect - These worked great! I was heading to a week long vacation and it occurred to me all my fish tank lights didn’t have timers and my tanks are in a windowless basement, and I usually turn their lights on and off manually. I ordered three packs of these timers and they worked out wonderfully to have the light timers auto on and off. Only thing is you have to turn them on at the exact time of day you want them to auto start, and can’t set them to start at a certain time in advance, but they work great as a budget option.

Basically, you turn it on at the time you want it to turn on every day, set how many hours it should be on, and it repeats that every day. Easy and effective. These worked just fine in-line with both an Aqueon hood, and a Topfin branded hood. Most of my tanks, I just use separate 24/7 timed lighting bars, and never even plug in the built in hood lights - this makes the built in hood lights useful again, and there's value to that!

**Q: Do I need to set how many hours I need in the morning?**
A: Our fish tank timer offers three default timer modes(6, 10, and 12 hours). You set the timer at the hour you want the light on, and the timer will turn the light off after the set amount of hours.

**Q: Does it come in automatically everyday after setting the time initially?**
A: Yes. If you set the aquarium timer to 10 hours at 7 o'clock, it will come on daily at 7 and go off at 5 in the afternoon.If the power goes out or it gets cut off for any reason, the settings will be lost until you reactivate it.

**Q: Can the timer switch other colors of lights?**
A: No, the aquarium light timer can only adjust the light brightness. It can not change or switch the color of the light.

These worked great! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Works well but not for me

Easy to use and set up with my 3 gallon top fin tank. Timer and brightness adjuster work as they should all for a good price for two. My biggest complaint is that if timer mode is activated you cannot turn the light on or it cancels the timer function which is very inconvenient and has made me return it. Otherwise, good product if you don’t care to use the light after the timer turns it off.
