Review: Weird Multi Driver IEM, but it’s great and sounds good - Tried this one because I heard it’s great for gaming and I agree, but it works better for me for listening to music more. It sounds more neutral bright with a good sub bass. Claims it’s more durable with an aluminum plate but looks nice so I can’t complain. It’s a great IEM is you don’t want to spend more than $200. Only complaint I would give is that cable feels fragile and I would just replace it with a modular one as it is one of those that works better with a 4.4mm end due to its multiple driver types, but it’s not the end of the world if you stick to 3.5mm.
Review: Great Throughout all Frequencies! - They look really plain; I'm missing the lush spectacular colours that the other Kiwis possess. However, once you play them you'll know exactly why they cost more than €200. The sound quality is very good to amazing, throughout the entire frequency range. Regardless, if you are listening to the lower bass region, they reproduce bass authentically and with clean precision. They aren't a bassheads love affair, that's for sure, but are always ready to give you a nice rumbling bass. The Mids are crisp and clear; they reproduce voices with great clarity and a certain comprehensive fullness. Guitars are full, lush and thick, when recorded with this in mind. But for me the uncrowned star are the highs: they sound wide open, and dynamic. Symbols often have that crisp sizzling sound, while lead guitars sound vivacious and poignant, when required; however, they are not harsh on the ears. Basically these IDMs are excellently balanced, never neglecting any frequency range. Another great attribute is the comfortable wearing quality that these IEMs possess. They never feel intrusive or irritating in your ears. It seems that you can wear them easily for hours. Another thing that really surprised me was the first time I played them, with my Ibasso DX 180 DAP, how good they sounded on my first try without any equalizer adjustments. The sound was so well balanced that I didn't need much equalizer adjustments. The cable itself is rather light weight, but feels a bit on the cheap side. These IEMs come with a nice black carrying case, that's got the Kiwi logo on it. Overall, I can definitely state these IEMs are true all-rounders, meaning they can play any music genre. Personally, I prefer to listen to Metal and (Hard) Rock! For these genres these sound excellent. P.S. I originally played my Hiby R4 with very cheap headphones, but once I used the Kiwi Quintet I was blown away by the open, dynamic and lush sound that greeted me. Certain Albums that I had listened to for decades suddenly had things that I heard for the first time; these were tinges, to be sure, that had eluded me. If you have a very good DAP, you'll need great IDMs, like these to drive them. It's just like good stereo equipment: if you have a great amplifier & CD player, you simply need great quality speakers to drive them, so that you can squeeze the maximum sound quality out if your system.

## Features

- 【𝟓 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝟒 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐬】The Kiwi Ears Quintet utilizes 4 different types of drivers, consisting of 1 Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) dynamic driver, 2 balanced armature (BA) drivers, 1 planar magnetic driver, and 1 piezoelectric (PZT) bone conductor. With a total of 5 drivers per ear, the Quintet delivers extremely high-resolution audio comparable to professional studio monitors. With this advanced driver configuration, the Kiwi Ears Quintet delivers not only exceptional clarity and precision across the entire frequency range but also a truly immersive soundstage that brings your music to life.
- 【𝐂𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐭】A large 10mm DLC driver was selected as the sub-woofer due to DLC’s high responsiveness and tensile strength, which pumps out impactful bass slams, but with fast decay speeds. 2 Knowles balanced armature drivers deliver natural and resolving mids, a classic example of why balanced armatures are beloved in the industry. We are excited to announce the utilization of AMT Acoustic’s planar tweeter drivers in the Quintet. With an extremely low noise floor and high output capacity, these planar magnetic drivers deliver crisp and detailed treble.
- 【𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞】A balanced sound signature is a core belief at Kiwi Ears. The Quintet took almost a year in development due to the engineering difficulty of combining all of its driver types. However, the result is a completely balanced tone that accurately reflects the best qualities of each driver. The sub-bass hits strong and fast, with a 9dB shelf that transitions into flat mids at 300Hz. This mids-bass transition ensures that there is a slight warmth in the lower mids for bass guitar notes to be in the mix, but still retain studio-monitor-like neutrality to the upper mids.
- 【𝐏𝐙𝐓+𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐥𝐞】Quintet utilizes a piezoelectric driver to deliver ultra-treble micro detail and air. In R&D testing, the presence of the PZT driver significantly enhanced perceived audio resolution, texture, and sound stage, making it a no-brainer to be an addition in the Quintet. This creates a natural tone without any muddying or bloating. The treble accurately peaks at 3kHz to match the acoustic perception of the human ear’s pinna, with a gradual decay into the upper treble. Thus, the treble is well-detailed and sparkles, but without any shrillness or harshness. The planar and PZT drivers provide a good extension into the treble until 40kHz.
- 【𝟑𝐃-𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞】For optimal performance, we utilize a combination of a 3D-printed resin shell and a meticulously crafted metal faceplate to accommodate the five distinct driver types. The precise cavity effectively organizes the multiple drivers, resulting in exceptional performance. Furthermore, each Quintet unit undergoes meticulous handcrafting, testing, and pairing. This crucial process ensures that both the left and right units deliver identical sound, guaranteeing a flawless listening experience.
- 【𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐅𝐂 𝟐-𝐩𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞】The Quintet boasts a convenient replaceable 2-pin connector system, enabling seamless compatibility with various 2-pin cables. Included as standard is a premium oxygen-free silver-plated copper cable, known for its lightweight construction and impeccable audio transmission, ensuring a noise-free music enjoyment..
- 【𝐖𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐰𝐢 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐬】Driven by the pursuit of extraordinary audio reproduction, at Kiwi Ears, we create the perfect amalgam of technological innovations with refined tuning strategies. With musicians and studio engineers particularly in mind, we are on an uncompromising quest to produce the finest professional In-Ear Monitors that will reveal every nuance in your music and performance. Never settling for mediocrity, our small team of dedicated engineers handcrafts each unit so that you can worry less about what’s in your ears and focus more on the sounds you are making. We are Kiwi Ears, and we’re bringing you music heard like never before.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The sound is harsh. How can I soften it?**
A: Possible solutions: Use the included memory/foam tips to dampen high frequencies. Position the IEMs deeper in the ear canal for better isolation. Note: Harshness may vary by ear tip material and music genre.

**Q: Why does my iem often develop sound imbalance? I have tested with a new cable and ruled out connection issues.**
A: Sound imbalance often stems from earwax or debris buildup on the nozzle, this clogs or disrupts sound output. We recommend regularly cleaning the filter mesh with a suitable brush or tweezers, ideally once a week. Avoid sharp tools to prevent damage

**Q: What should I do if I receive a different iem?**
A: This may occur due to relabeling processes by fulfillment team. Please send us photos of the product and the product label on the box. We'll verify and resolve within 24 hours.
