They are beautiful and very comfortable to lay and sit on. A good sturdy thickness and well designed. Our cats even love to lay on them. The mats are easy to was and vacuum, and easy to take apart and rearrange into various shapes to fit your room. The mats are thick and cushioned, and have a nice grassy smell to them that we find relaxing. I suggest keeping it cleaned and spraying it with a dust mite killer from time to time, as dust mites enjoy tatami mats.
