U shiuld kniw if ur changing radiator valves tbh! 😉 they would normally go on the primary flow. It depends on wether you have a 1 or 2 pipe system for your central heating. Its normal these days to have a 2 pipe system. A lot of valves are bi-directional so it shouldnt matter but as i said it may. Check the instructions and if it day they can be fitted on either pipe no worries. The other pipe is called the return pipe. Or if it states they are bi-direction then should be fine too. **Q: What is the size of the inner hex that fit snug around the valve body around the pin.** A: This valve is for 15mm copper. **Q: Can these be used on a vertical radiator wall mounted?** A: We have fitted these to our new Vertical 7 Panel Radiator and it works very well in the limited space.. I bought 9 of these needing 8 which was just as well because one of the nuts cracked while being installed. The valves protrude slightly more from the radiators than our old non-TRV valves meaning that the rising pipes from the floor needed to be splayed outwards a little. The valves were bought for use with smart TP-link thermostatically-controlled heads which were screwed directly onto the base of each valve instead of the supplied thermostatic heads.
