MICHELIN Protek Max, ultimate safety with "Self-Repair Liquid". Punctures caused by perforation or pinch shock (kerbs in the city or rocks when mountain biking. ) are what every cyclist most dreads. Repairing or changing an inner tube is not always an easy matter. An inner tube has to be re-inflated regularly. Ultimate puncture resistance Because of its unique bumpy design, the MICHELIN Protek Max inner tube creates a compressive force if it is holed or pinched (the hole seals itself naturally) whereas a conventional inner tube stretches (balloon effect). The self-sealing effect is accentuated with the addition of sealant in the manufacture of the tube Easy to fit Thanks to its square shape, the MICHELIN Protek Max inner tube positions itself naturally in the rim well and does not twist, unlike a completely tubular conventional inner tube. Review: Best Tubes Ever - I’ve been using these tubes for many years now and they are the best tubes you can buy I think. Never had a puncture with them and if they have been penetrated then they have sealed themselves with no problems. I thought I had a dud one once but it was the valve inner that had come loose so it’s worth buying a valve tool to tighten them now and then. These tubes keep their pressure for months and months unlike any other tube, even if the bike has not been riden. Yes they are a bit heavier but you have piece of mind knowing you’ve got the best tube in your tyre.

Settled easily in the tyre when fitting and so far is holding pressure very well. Using 85psi with Michelin Protek Max 1.85 tyre and very happy in initial use. Does not recommend patching which I did not appreciate, though resealing / repairing theory should eliminate this anyway. Happy cycling, :-)

I’ve been using these tubes for many years now and they are the best tubes you can buy I think. Never had a puncture with them and if they have been penetrated then they have sealed themselves with no problems. I thought I had a dud one once but it was the valve inner that had come loose so it’s worth buying a valve tool to tighten them now and then. These tubes keep their pressure for months and months unlike any other tube, even if the bike has not been riden. Yes they are a bit heavier but you have piece of mind knowing you’ve got the best tube in your tyre.
