Yes, it's true. BUT... it's perfected fitted for an 84" square hot tub and goes on very easily. I'm using this in winter as an added protection for my hot tub cover, which has a few holes and allows water in the tub. Used to use tarps and secured with straps etc, but this is so much easier and looks a lot neater. I'll prob end up using it for the summer as well. As far as the price, if you were going to spend money on tarps anyway, its just a bit more than they would cost.
